About Kodechi

What does Kodechi actually do?

We build custom software, mobile apps, websites, and AI solutions for businesses. Our clients span India, Canada, and internationally. Services include end-to-end product development, UI/UX design, dedicated development teams, and technical advisory.

Where is Kodechi located?

Our team is based in Delhi NCR, India. We serve clients across India and internationally, with Canada being a significant client base.

How large is the team?

We are a senior-first team focused on quality over quantity. See our Team page for individual profiles.

Are you a real company, not a freelancer collective?

Yes. Kodechi is a registered company with formal employment contracts, physical office space, and proper business infrastructure. You're hiring a company, not managing a freelancer.

Services and Capabilities

What services do you offer?

Web development (custom, WordPress, WooCommerce), mobile app development (iOS, Android, React Native, Flutter), custom software development, SaaS product engineering, UI/UX design, AI/ML solutions, hosting and maintenance, and technical consulting.

Do you specialize in any industries?

We have deep experience in SaaS, FinTech, Healthcare, eCommerce, EdTech, and Real Estate. See individual industry pages for depth.

What technologies do you work with?

Frontend: React, Next.js, Vue, TypeScript. Backend: Node.js, Laravel, Python (Django/FastAPI). Mobile: React Native, Flutter, native iOS/Android. Databases: PostgreSQL, MongoDB, MySQL. Cloud: AWS, GCP, DigitalOcean, Vercel. AI: Python ecosystem including TensorFlow, PyTorch, OpenAI/Anthropic APIs. WordPress, Shopify, WooCommerce for CMS/eCommerce.

Do you work on legacy code or greenfield projects only?

Both. We regularly take over existing codebases (technical audit → improvement plan → ongoing work). We also do greenfield builds from scratch. Neither is inherently better; depends on your situation.

Engagement and Process

How do we start working with Kodechi?

Book a free 30-minute discovery call. We ask questions to understand your goals and constraints. Within 3–5 business days, you receive a written proposal. If it looks right, we sign contracts and start. Full process typically takes 2–4 weeks from first contact to project kickoff.

What engagement models do you offer?

Three primary models: Fixed-price project (defined scope), Dedicated team/developer (ongoing product work, monthly billing), and Time-and-materials (hourly, for evolving scope). See our Pricing page for details.

How do you manage projects?

Agile sprints (typically 2 weeks). Weekly demos of progress. Slack + Jira (or your preferred tools) for daily communication. Weekly written progress reports. Monthly milestone reviews.

Who will actually work on my project?

Senior engineers and designers. You meet the actual team during the sales process, not after signing. For dedicated engagements, you interview candidates directly and choose who joins.

Can I visit your office?

Yes. Clients from Delhi NCR are welcome to visit our office for kickoffs and milestone reviews. International clients occasionally visit for major project starts; we can arrange logistics.

Timeline and Delivery

How long do typical projects take?

Landing page: 1–2 weeks. Small business website: 3–5 weeks. Corporate website: 6–10 weeks. Mobile MVP: 8–12 weeks. Standard consumer app: 12–18 weeks. SaaS MVP: 8–12 weeks. Full SaaS build: 16–28 weeks. Complex enterprise software: 20–36 weeks.

What if the project goes over the estimated timeline?

Fixed-price projects: the risk is ours. We eat the cost of overruns caused by our estimation errors. If scope changes cause overruns (client-requested), we agree on new timelines and pricing in writing. Dedicated team engagements: you pay for the actual months worked.

Can you deliver faster if we pay more?

Sometimes, by adding more people to the team. Not always — some projects have irreducible time (e.g., waiting for App Store review, third-party API access, or client-side content). We're honest about which timelines are compressible.

Pricing and Payments

How much do projects cost?

See our Pricing page for ranges by service type. Concise version: websites INR 60K–15L, mobile apps INR 3L–40L, SaaS MVPs INR 8L–20L, enterprise software INR 25L+.

Do you offer discounts?

Occasionally, for compelling early-stage startups or long-term engagements. Standard pricing applies most of the time. We don't do equity-only or heavily discounted work.

What payment methods do you accept?

Bank transfer (RTGS/NEFT for India; wire transfer for international), Razorpay, and Stripe for card payments. GST invoices provided for Indian clients.

Can I pay in USD or CAD?

Yes. Canadian clients typically pay in CAD; US clients in USD. Payment via wire transfer or Stripe.

What are your standard payment terms?

Fixed-price: 40% at kickoff, 40% at major milestone, 20% at launch. Dedicated teams: monthly in advance, net-15 for Indian clients, net-30 for international. Time and materials: weekly billing, net-15.

Contracts, IP, and Legal

Do we own the code and IP?

Yes. All code, designs, and creative work delivered under a client engagement transfers to the client. Your code lives in your GitHub repos, your cloud accounts, and your infrastructure.

What contracts do you sign?

Standard MSA (Master Services Agreement) plus per-project SOWs. NDA available and signed before any project details are shared. Data Processing Agreement available for clients handling personal data. Templates can accommodate Indian, Canadian, or US law governance.

What about non-competes?

We don't sign broad non-competes preventing us from working with any company in your industry. We do sign strict NDAs protecting your specific IP, trade secrets, and business information.

What happens if the engagement ends?

You get complete handover: all code, credentials, documentation, and design files. Repos remain in your GitHub. We provide 30 days of complimentary handover support to help your team or a new vendor take over.

Working With Us From Overseas

How do you handle timezones?

Our team schedules to overlap with client timezones. EST/CST clients (US East, Toronto): we provide 4–6 hours daily overlap. PST clients (US West, Vancouver): we dedicate developers with shifted schedules. UK/EU: significant overlap during our morning hours.

Is language ever an issue?

No. All communication in English — Slack, email, meetings, documentation, code comments. Our team is fluent, and cultural norms around directness and feedback match Western business culture.

How do we handle time-sensitive issues?

Emergency issues have a 2-hour response SLA regardless of local time. For truly urgent issues (production down), we have on-call rotation. Standard support: within business hours (yours).

Do you have clients we can talk to?

Yes. During the evaluation process, we can connect you with 1–2 past clients (with their permission) for reference calls. Especially useful for larger engagements.

Quality and Support

How is code quality assured?

Multiple layers: senior engineer leads, code reviews on every PR, automated testing (unit + integration + E2E), continuous integration, and independent 30-day technical audit. If you have a CTO, they can review our work directly at any time.

Do you provide testing and QA?

Yes. Every project includes QA. Automated tests for critical flows. Manual testing across browsers and devices. Beta testing before launch. Dedicated QA engineers available for larger projects.

Do you provide post-launch support?

Yes. 30 days of complimentary post-launch support included in every project. After that, monthly maintenance retainers available starting at INR 8,000/month.

What if something breaks after launch?

During the 30-day warranty period: bug fixes are free. After that: covered by maintenance retainer if you have one, or billed hourly if not. Bugs from our engineering error are always fixed at no cost.

Comparing Kodechi to Alternatives

How do you compare to hiring in-house?

Hiring senior engineers in-house in India takes 3–6 months and costs INR 25L–50L annually per person plus 25% overhead. Hiring in Canada takes 4–8 months at CAD 120K–200K annually. Kodechi can put a senior engineer on your project within 2 weeks, at 30–50% lower total cost. Trade-off: less integration into your company culture.

How do you compare to freelancers?

Freelancers are cheaper per hour but come with real risks: single-point-of-failure, no backup if they get sick or busy, no QA support, no infrastructure, and typically no project management. Kodechi is a company — accountable, insured, and staffed to deliver.

How do you compare to large agencies?

Large agencies charge more, work slower, and often assign junior staff to actual work while senior staff handle sales. Kodechi is mid-sized — senior-first, faster, cheaper. Trade-off: we're not the right choice for very large enterprise engagements requiring hundreds of engineers.
